Melanie Hoover

Melanie Buchanan Page Hoover, 67, of Hilliard, FL passed away August 22, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL.  She was born May 8, 1954 in Jacksonville, FL to the late David H. “Buck” Buchanan and Martha Lillian Walker Buchanan.  She was a former hairdresser and a member of the First Baptist Church of Boulougne.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband:  Reggie Page and a grandson:  Trenton Bryant.

She is survived by her husband:  Leo F. Hoover; 3-daughters and sons-in-law:  Sallie and Chad Bryant, Hollie and Matthew Taylor and Allison Logue; her grandchildren:  Lillie (Jeremy) Corbitt, Chas Bryant, Kate Taylor, Hamp Taylor, J.P. Logue, Krew Logue and Kevin Asher Stone; great grandchildren:  Brody Corbitt and Beckham Corbitt; a sister and brother-in-law:  Sara and Don Michaels; brothers and sisters-in-law:  David and Ann Buchanan and Gary and Ginger Buchanan.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Boulougne with Rev. Paul Lucas officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday August 27.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard, FL.

Due to Covid-19, face masks are optional at the service.  Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
