Leona Harden

Leona Angeline Eunice Harden, 94, of Folkston, GA passed away June 7, 2021.  She was born February 6, 1927 in Waycross, GA to the late John Lester Eunice, Sr. and Mary Margaret Crews Eunice.  She was a homemaker and a member of Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church.  She enjoyed her frequent visits to the Charlton County Senior Citizens Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Clarence Harden; a daughter:  Clarice Knox; 2-sisters:  Willie Pearl Steedley and Ann Wildes; a brother:  J.L. Eunice; a grandson:  Howard Compton and 2-great grandchildren:  Madison Oktay and Shae Oktay.  She passed away on her husband, Clarence’s 98th birthday.

She is survived by her children:  William (Doris) Harden, Barbara Ann Adams, Walter (Brenda) Harden, Jerry (Marilyn) Harden, Keith Harden; 2-sisters:  Margaret Gorman and Ardeth Harden; 3-brothers:  Jimmy Eunice, Carlton (Kitty) Eunice and Mike (Donna) Eunice; 13-grandchildren:  Lester, Sonya Lynn, Ty, Rollene, Tracy, David, Wanda, Teresa, Jerrold, Dustin, Rick, Amanda and Matt; 26-great grandchildren:  Tommy, Brianna, Ashley, Zach, Hannah, Tyler, Molly, Russell, Sage, Caetana, Emi, Sam, Derek, Dyland, Aaron, Brad, Brooke, Clarice, Craig, Kayla, Mavrick, Waylon, Matthew, Blake, Fionna, and Westley; 13-great great grandchildren:  Carter, Caden, Blaze, Jeremiah, Josh, Beth, Jonathon, Jude, Emory, Olivia, Rivvy and Adeline and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 10 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.  Funeral services will be held Friday, June 11 at 11:00 AM at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Parnell Aldridge, Rev. Roy Lish and Rev. Billy Champion officiating.  Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery.
