Eddie Ray

March 10, 1950 — August 18, 2020

Eddie Arnold Ray, 70, of Hilliard, FL passed away Tuesday, August 18 in Jacksonville, FL.  He was born March 10, 1950 in Adel, GA to the late Arlie “Bige” and Essie Mae Rogers Ray.  He retired from the Nassau County Road Department.  He was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers:  Jimmy, Virgil, William and Clayton and a sister:  Virginia Dales.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years:  Liz Ray; children:  Doug (Judy) Ray, Cindy (Jimmy) White, and Kevin (April) Ray; sister:  Betty Jean Summerlin; grandchildren:  Jason (Lydia) Ray, Travis (Kali) Ray, Hunter (Brianna) Ray, Brad White, Chad White, Anniegail Ray, Blake Ray, Ethan White, Devin Ray, Julie Ray and Guner Ray and a great grandson:  Dawson Ray.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 21 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home in Folkston, GA from 6-8 PM.  Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22 at 11:00 AM at Pigeon Creek Cemetery with Lester Nelson officiating.
