Bruce Thompson, Jr

Bruce Thompson, Jr., 72, of St. George, passed away April 25 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. He was born in St. George to the late Bruce Thompson Sr. and Mary Sikes Thompson.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Marlon & Susie Thompson; 4-Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Patrice Thompson, Kim & Walter Griffis, Karen & Steve Albertson, and Tara & Rob Shirley; 2-Sisters: Inez Raulerson and Brunell Lackey; 2-Brothers: Dwight Thompson and Carlton Thompson; 9-Grandchildren: Brandon Goodman, Anthony Baker, Michael Baker, Tyler Albertson, Zachary (LeAnn) Wheeler, Chelsie Wheeler, Whitney Wheeler, Siara Strickland, and Seth Strickland; 5-Great Grandchildren: Remington Wheeler, Westyn Baker, Madisyn Snellgrove, Kaitlyn Baker and Nevaeh Lauramore and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by 3-Brothers: Orville “Buck” Thompson, Sr., Gerald Thompson, and Billy Thompson; and a sister: Vinonia Crews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 28 at New Life Baptist Church in St. George, GA from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29 at 4:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church with Rev. James Conner and Rev. Ed Falgout officiating. Burial will follow in Boones Creek Cemetery.
