My deepest sympathies go out to the family. To loose a father that is even half as good as the friend that I lost has to be very devastating. Your family is in my prayers just as your father is in the presence of the Lord.

Our condolences to all of Major's family and friends during this time of great loss. Major has been a friend for many years, he was someone you could count on any time you needed help. I know his church family will miss him as well. I remember working at Kings Bay Sub Base with Major and it was always a lot of fun to be around him. You will be missed by all that knew you because you left an indelible impression, you were a true friend.

If the measure of a man's life is the positive impact he makes in the lives others, then Major's was full and glorious. He always spead sunshine and put smiles on the faces of the people that knew him and many many people who didn't, because Major himself knew no strangers. Nan and I are very saddened at the news of his passing, we will miss him. We are comforted with the knowledge the Major is now singing a new Heavenly song in the place the Lord Jesus prepared for those that love him and we know of Major's love for the Lord Jesus by the way Major loved us all. Spoken From The Heart, Jeff And Nannette Brannon.

My condolences to Major's family and friends. Major played drums with my brother many, many years ago. He passed away in 1979 so I know they are making music in Heaven today. I never saw him that he didn't have a smile on his face! Rest in Peace Major.

I am very sorry for your loss. I have "known" Major over the years as he was a customer when I worked at Flash Foods on 40. I recently had the opportunity to share with him a mutual interest in genealogy and the history of our area. I really enjoyed his stories about living in St. Marys. Recently, he brought old Camden County newspaper articles to me about members of my family. My family and I have really enjoyed them. He spoke so highly of his children and I know he loved them dearly. May God bless you with peace and comfort during this difficult time.

I am so sorry for the loss of my friend Major. To Ray, Dewayne and Alton and Major's Kids and all of the Strickland clan, my heart goes out to you. Sorry I could not attend the gathering of the family last night (I only read about it last night on Facebook). I have many fond memories of Major through the years and will miss that crooked little grin of his. I love ya man. Rest in peace.
